Do the bikes cause any damage to the course?
Not at all – our bikes are very gentle on the turf. Scratch Bikes feature 4″ wide fat tires, and are lighter than carts. They handle all terrain and any playing conditions with ease. We do recommend following the same rules as carts, our of respect to the course.
Are the bikes stable?
Very! After only a few minutes to get comfortable riding, any stability concerns disappear. The dual kick stand keeps the bike upright and stable. Whenever possible, park the bike on flat terrain or a slight incline, and for the best experience, keep your golf bag light – as if you were walking.
Will the battery last the entire round?
And more! We upgraded the battery to last multiple rounds. You have the option to pedal with three levels of assist, or use the thumb throttle to cruise without effort. The speed is governed to match golf carts, and the battery powers a LCD display and a high-powered headlight to extend your twilight rounds.
Do courses allow bikes?
We’ve only had great feedback from riders and courses. Our bikes reduce the repetitive wear from carts, extend cart fleets, enhance pace of play, and allow golfers to experience the course in an entirely different way. How fast to the bikes go?
Scratch Bikes are speed-governed to match the speed of a golf cart. You have the option to pedal with three levels of assist or you can use the thumb throttle to cruise without effort.
Are the bikes safe?
Absolutely. If you’re comfortable riding a bike, you’ll be comfortable on a Scratch Bike. By the time you’re finished the first hole, you’ll be a pro. Take it slow to start, familiarize yourself with the brakes and the throttle, getting on and off via the low-step through frame, and engaging the kickstand. From there, go have the most fun round you’ve played in a long time!
